"entering" a new phase

Sometimes it takes a lot of faith to press this little "enter" key—but I did it.

"Out of Obesity" manuscript is off to the editor for the final editing phase. It has been a long time coming, but it won't be long now before it becomes a book and I become (dare I say) an author.

Stay tuned, things are happening fast!

what readers are saying

A few folks have been reading my manuscript. From a weight-loss surgery patient's point of view—

Erin says, "While reading Julia's book, I felt like I was reliving everything again. It's like she was in my head and writing what I was (and am) feeling. It's fantastic. So inspiring!"

Tammy Curry says," I love your book! It is so well written, thorough, and enjoyable—I couldn't put it down. Thank you for allowing me to read it."

Renee Bunner says"It's great. I love that it's your personal story. I also love that it's based on a bible story."

the writing is done

Progress report....the book writing is done. I have several readers reading away as we speak. Some are reading for grammar and some for flow and content. There are several weight-loss surgery patients reading also—and it won't be long before you will be among them.

I'm getting some great and exciting feedback. Stay tuned for updates!

the exodus

My personal weight-loss surgery seems to have followed the biblical story of the Israelite slaves as they made their way out of Egypt. Having been a slave to obesity and food addictions, I too, have made my way free to live life in the land of freedom. But just because one is out of slavery doesn't mean that the slave mentality is gone. It takes time to realize your new identity and to learn to live life free from it's rulership.

Get ready to take the journey of a life-time as you join me on my adventure—out of obesity and into the promised land—of weight-loss surgery success.
