In all your gift-giving, don't forget to give yourself a Christmas gift...
- a healthier life
- remember your goals and your desire for a healthier lifestyle
- the gift of a weight loss or a plateau when you get on the scales the day after Christmas
- remember to put your weight into the proper perspective, you have a new tool to start fresh after the holidays
- remember you're worth it
As we celebrate this season, remember we are celebrating first coming of Christ.
He is the God of second chances. The best gift you can give yourself is a personal relationship with Christ.
Luke's account of the birth announcement of Christ's birth included that of celebration, salvation and reconciliation. When we hear the word "saved" used in spiritual terms we usually think of life after death, but the word "saved" actually means to cure, heal, preserve, keep safe and sound, rescue from danger or destruction, deliver, to save from peril, injury or suffering, to make whole from physical death by healing and from spiritual death by forgiving sin and its effects.
During the process of weight loss surgery, God has put me on a path of greater physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Thank you Lord, for second chances, life and health.
